Dangote Refinery Slashes Petrol, Diesel Prices in Fresh Review
Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals has announced fresh reductions in the prices of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, as well as diesel.
In a revised pricing template issued on March 10, 2026, the refinery disclosed that the gantry price of petrol has been cut by ₦100, dropping from ₦1,175 to ₦1,075 per litre.
The company added that PMS meant for coastal distribution will now sell at ₦1,050 per litre, noting that the price difference is due to extra expenses associated with maritime transportation.
Likewise, the gantry price of Automotive Gas Oil (diesel) has been lowered to ₦1,430 per litre from the previous ₦1,620 per litre, marking a reduction of ₦190 per litre.
The refinery explained that the announced gantry prices exclude regulatory levies imposed by the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA).
Earlier on Monday, Tribune Online reported that Dangote Petroleum Refinery had increased its gantry price for PMS to ₦1,175 per litre — the third price hike within seven days.
The refinery notified marketers and depot operators of the new ex-depot price, which rose by ₦180 from the ₦995 per litre announced the previous Friday, representing an 18.1 per cent increase within three days.
