The association noted that recent security challenges affecting educational institutions nationwide have made it imperative for students and law enforcement agencies to strengthen their working relationship. According to NANS, sustained cooperation will not only protect students but also contribute significantly to academic excellence and national development.
The meeting provided a platform for meaningful discussions on strategies to improve campus security, prevent criminal activities, and promote intelligence sharing between students and security personnel. Both parties explored practical measures aimed at combating cultism, cybercrime, drug abuse, and other social vices capable of disrupting academic activities. The engagement also highlighted the need for regular communication channels that will encourage transparency, mutual understanding, and peaceful resolution of issues affecting students.
